Backstory[]

Prologue: We Have a Situation[]

On October 13th, 2013, a explosion was reported in the city. Following the event, a group of heavily armed Terrorists have ceased the hospital and all it's occupants. SWAT operative Jake Hawkfield receives a call from his boss, Frank to come to the police station. Upon arrival, both Jake and Frank had boarded a Black Hawk and made their way towards the hospital. During this time Frank has breifed Jake on the current situation and mission. Jake's role on the mission was to serve as a sniper facing the front of the hospital.

Once the Black Hawk reached the landing zone Jake made his way to the building infront of the hospital as planned. After reaching his position, a Hostage was spotted running on the rooftop being chased by five terrorist. After the incident(If Jake kills the five terrorist or not) Frank orders Jake to lead an assault on the hospital out of frustration. The assault on the hospital resulted in a success, however the mission was incomplete. The team had only found a single Hostage(Two if the rooftop hostage was saved). After locating the hostage, the victim proceeds to inform the team that the terrorist had taken the rest of the hostages elsewhere, through The Sewer System in the basement.

The team then pursues the remaining terrorist. During the chase the team has encountered several squads of terrorist, Jake manages to eliminate the terrorist within the sewers. Later, Frank had gathered information that the terrorist had planned the attack two years ago. Due to the sewer system being a blockade when it's full of sewage and trash. The sewer system would be pumped with water every two years, thus cleaning all the filth.

Jake then proceeds topside in the sewers and reaches the subway station. Upon arrival, Frank had recieved word that there was another explosion around the subway station near Jake's position. Soon Jake advances through the station only to stumble into the mall. A SWAT unit was seen entering the mall, the unit informs Jake that there might be hostages within the mall and that they had to rescue them. During the search, many terrorist were found in the mall, some rappeling into the building using the skylight. Upon finding Four Hostages and rescuing them. A unidentified helicopter arrives at the South facing of the mall. It was discovered that the helicopter was not Frank's, and that it was hostile.

Jake then eliminates the pilot of the unidentified helicopter, which it crashes into the West side of the mall. A SOS message was heard on the radio, identifying himself as apart of Squad Delta 3. The squad reported that they were suppressed in The Parking Garage of the mall. Jake responds to the SOS message by locating a elevator and making his way to the garage. Coincidentally the elevator had lead Jake to Squad Delta 3, allowing both of them to link up.

Delta 3 had informed Jake that the terrorist were converging at the bottom floors of the garage and that they had to investigate. During their advancment, multiple squads of terrorist were found guarding the garage. The team eliminates all enemy squads. In the latter the investigation was haulted due to three Gatling Turrets forming a blockade to infantry and light armored vehicles. Frank then notices terrorist opening a entrance to the roof of the parking and securing it, he then orders Jake to backtrack and head all the way to the roof of the garage. Later Frank spots three humvees driving in the city, he questions if the Corporal called in for reinforcments, which he did not.

The unidentified humvees had turned out to be hostiles, affiliated with the terrorist but were among a different faction. Jake manages to eliminate the Unidentified Personnel and make it to the roof of the parking. Right after the arrival, Frank had called in for reinforcements and orders Jake to stand by until their arrival. The Corporal opposes Frank's decision, however a Unknown Personnel had appeared at a apartment and shot at the tail of Frank's Black hawk. With the tail being damaged, the helicopter lost balance and crashed head first onto the streets. Jake then proceeds to pursue the unknown personnel nicknamed as Frank's Killer.

The fate of Frank's Killer rest on the player's hands.

After the incident, the Corporal arrives infront of the parking garage and meets up with Jake. He showed depression in his words and then takes command of the mission, he orders Jake to open the gate to the parking and then get a humvee to lead the assault. Jake manages to proceed down the garage using the humvee and then destroy the blockade the terrorist had set up. Jake then crashes his humvee through the doors in the lowest floor and through a wall. The exit of the wall had lead Jake to an Underground Complex known as the U.D.R.C. Facility.

Jake then advances through the facility(the power went off in the facility) and yet again meets more squads of terrorist. He manages to eliminate the terrorist and meet up with a Hostage(which Jake rescued). Jake then escorts the hostage through the complex to turn on the generator and then open the blast doors in the section. At the end of the escort, the hostage opens the blast doors and Jake enters through the doors. In retaliation, one of the commanding officers of the terrorist, Danko had set up a defense in a office complex. Jake then stumbles into the complex, facing Danko and his squad of terrorist. Jake then kills the terrorist, inclding Danko himself.

Afterwards, Jake heads deeper within the complex and then finds a small room with a Hostage in a makeshift gas chamber. The hostage then dies by the mysterious gas within the room. Afterwards, Jake had located a console room. The console room had a window that revealed many Hostages on the otherside. However the hostages were held captive by multiple armed terrorist overseeing them, Jake was unable to rescue the hostages without having casultues. The Corporal was then heard on the radio informing Jake that his team of SWAT were trying to infiltrate the complex to help Jake. After the call, the windows had shut themselves using a blast door, as well as the entrance into the room(This hints that the Corpora's radio call had given away Jake's position due to the terrorist tracking the frequency). The air vents within the room then released a unknown type of gas. The gas was non-lethal, despite this, Jake passes out.

A group of soldiers, affiliated with the A.R.C. Facility shows up and drags Jake's body out of the room and into the makeshift gas chamber. Two A.R.C. Soldiers were heard arguing about whether or not to expose Jake to the gas, the same gas the killed a hostage. One of the soldiers then releases the gas onto Jake. The gas however did not kill Jake, though it created a side effect. This side effect had enraged Jake, causing him to let out a scream, break out of the gas chamber, and (presumably) kill all the personnel within the facility, possibly including the hostages.

Jake then passes out sometime during the rage and looks at several SWAT units entering the complex. One of which had noticed Jake was alive, though another SWAT unit punches Jake, knocking him out. Jake soon awakes in a interrogation room in the police station. He meets with his lawyer, Micheal. Micheal has began to question Jake on the incident after Jake was exposed to the gas, claiming that Jake was the only one that knew what happend in that incident and the only one that survived. Due to the fact that Jake had barely any memory of the incident, he was unable to form an alibi. Without an alibi, Micheal had no lead to defend Jake on trial.

Later, a unidentified man was heard in a hallway outside the interrorgation room. The man had managed to get Jake out of the police station and into another prison. The prison was located in the Arizona Desert which holds the A.R.C. Facility. Jake was sent to the there on a helicopter as a inmate.
